When will we see our online proof album?
Generally, I will post your proofs in a password-protected online album within 2 weeks. Sometimes I'm faster.
How quickly will we receive our print order?
Prints generally are ready for pick-up or delivery in 10-14 days.
How do I order and pay for my prints?
The best way to order is to either email me at carrie_wigglesworthphoto.com or call me at 303.905.4706 to give me your order. When you're ready to order, you'll need to know the image number, print size, and details such as color or black/white, and any retouching that you'd like.
Currently, I accept cash and checks. Credit card payment will be available soon.
Your shoot should reflect your style. Feel free to wear your favorite items, or clothe your child in his or her favorite outfit(s). Vibrant colors, stripes, patterns... all of it works. It all depends on what you want the images to reflect.
Simple colors and clothes -- for example, white T-shirts and jeans -- can add a cohesive element to a family portrait. Black clothes on a black backdrop lend intensity to the subject; for example, highlighting a pregnant belly with very little distractions. You may want to avoid overalls on children... they tend to bunch up around the face and neck.
I do offer some fun and simple clothing props, like hats, tu-tus, scarves and drapes that can add splashes of color while still maintaining an easy look. It's all up to you.
I also have a few other props that can lend color and emotion to your shoot, like an antique pedal car, a child-sized armchair, fun pillows, stools, and a wonderfully simple white rocking chair.
Can our pet join the shoot?
Of course! Pets are always welcome. I also am happy to photograph your pet on his or her own.
Do you photograph weddings?
I have photographed weddings, and though they are not my primary focus, I enjoy the change of pace. My photojournalistic style, however, carries into my wedding work; if you're looking for someone to document and capture the life of your big day, let's talk.
Do you still do commercial photography?
I do. Locally, I have worked with Denver Life Magazine, Sugar Siren (a fantastic catering company), The Gathering Place, and Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. I also have worked extensively with several local preschools and elementary schools.
Where should we have our portraits taken?
I offer a completely portable studio that allows me to come to your home for your session... all I need is about 12 square feet of floor space and a nearby electrical outlet. I offer white or black backdrops. If you'd rather have a "natural" backdrop, we can find great spots inside and outside your home. Love a nearby park? No problem. Need ideas? Wash Park, Hudson Gardens and Westlands Park all offer fantastic scenery... as does your own neighborhood. Want mountains? No problem. Urban? Let's head downtown!
