Thanks to all the wonderful people who joined me and the Marine family for "Lovin' Landon"... It was so much fun! I'm going through hundreds of photos to pick the best, which will be posted in about a week.
"Lovin' Landon" Valentine's Day Fundraiser -- reserve your spot now!
Friday, January 22, 2010 at 06:57PM
Landon is a happy, engaging and kind 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder that causes physical disability and applies to the cerebrum in the brain and the disorder of movement. Cerebral palsy cannot be cured, but there are treatments shown to improve quality of life.
Landon is scheduled to receive treatment at the XCell-Center in Germany in a progressive surgery that has helped other CP patients here in Colorado as well as all over the world. He and his mom (a preschool teacher) and his father (a Denver firefighter) will leave for Germany in a few weeks in the hopes of improving Landon’s ability, function and life.
To help with the extensive costs of the trip and treatment, I am inviting families from all over Denver to participate in a portrait party fundraiser on Valentine’s day. Your sitting fee donation buys you a 15-minute portrait session and directly helps Landon and his family. Bring your kids, your sweetheart, your best friend, your four-legged loves... it’s totally up to you!
When: Sunday, February 14th, 2010
Time: 9:30am – 2:30pm
Where: 8755 W. Cornell Ave, Lakewood, CO 80227
Sitting Fee: $50 (all of which will be donated directly to the family)
RSVP to reserve your appointment: Michelle Marine 303-880-5015 (cell)
Portrait sittings will last 15 minutes, starting at 9:30 a.m. Reserve your time by calling Michelle Marine soon! Spots are already filling up! I'll use a white backdrop and will have various props available, including a child-size armchair, balloons and flowers.
This will be a fun day, where we celebrate Landon as well as family, kids, love and life. Please join us!
School portraits... I'm diving in!
Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 09:11AM
I've so enjoyed providing the school portraits for the Fisher Early Learning Center the past few years, and it's time to branch out. I'm looking for preschools and elementary schools that need a dedicated photographer. Have a school in mind? Let me know! I'm making contact with schools all over Denver.
Keeping up with new shoots!

I have been so lucky over the past two months -- I've worked with some fantastic new families, and I've gotten to visit again with previous clients. I'm always amazed at how quickly kids grow, and I'm so pleased I get to help capture that growth. What an honor!
Thanks to all my customers for allowing me to photograph your beautiful families!
Thanks for participating!

Many thanks to all the families who joined me yesterday for the Mother's Day portrait shoot at Petite Patoot! I so enjoyed seeing how your children have grown, as well as meeting so many new families. We got great shots!
Look for an email in 7-10 days on how to view your online proofs.
Mother's Day Shoot on April 11
Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 01:09PM
I'm so pleased to announce that I am once again partnering with Petite Patoot and offering a "Mother's Day Special" portrait shoot. It will be held at the store (www.petitepatoot.com) on Saturday, April 11, starting at 10 a.m.
There will be discounts throughout the store, which sells incredibly cute kids clothes and accessories, and I'll take photos of Moms and kids, Dads and kids, just the kids... whatever your family prefers. The sitting fee is just $25, and I'm offering $10 off any collage for customers who join us that day for portraits.
As a fantastic bonus, 10% of all sales will be donated to Dress For Success, a non-profit, international organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Interested in being a part of this special event? Email me at carrie_wigglesworthphoto.com to request a sitting time, or feel free to stop by the store that morning for your portrait mini-session. I look forward to seeing you there!
